DEL CITY EAGLES
Coach: CHEVIS SMITH
2024-25 Record: 20-8
OUTLOOK
There is never a shortage of energy in the Del City gym, and this season Eagle fans should have plenty to cheer about. In his first year at the helm, head coach Chevis Smith inherits a roster that is young, long and very athletic, with three returning starters and a talented group of sophomores and juniors pushing for minutes. The identity will be simple. Play fast, attack the rim and turn defense into offense for four quarters.

Senior point guard Kamonz Shaw (5-11) the second sets the tone. A lightning quick guard who has been in the program for four years, Shaw averaged just over ten points per game along with solid rebounding and assist numbers. He controls tempo, dictates pace and uses his speed to pressure defenses both in transition and in the half court. As the vocal leader and primary ball handler, he will be the driving force behind everything Del City does offensively.
On the wing, junior forward Kaleb Blackwolf (6-1) brings length and versatility. Blackfox posted double digit scoring and nearly five rebounds per game last season while proving he could be a factor on both ends. His ability to guard multiple positions and finish in traffic fits perfectly with the Eagles plan to switch, pressure and fly around defensively. Sophomore guard Marquis Fleming (6-3) adds another high ceiling piece. A scorer who already showed he can put the ball in the basket at all three levels, Fleming is expected to be one of the top options this winter and a foundational player for the future.
Guard Jace Coleman (5-10, Sr.) provides toughness and playmaking. Coleman fills up the box score with 9.8 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 4.0 steals, impacting the game in every category. His willingness to do the dirty work and his presence in the leadership group at school make him a natural extension of the coaching staff on the floor.
Depth will be a strength. A strong class of underclassmen from the sophomore and freshmen groups will allow Smith to use a deep bench, keep fresh legs on the court and maintain a relentless style of play from tip to final horn. The Eagles expect to press, run and wear teams down with waves of athletes.
