VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to?
Kentrell: Kyrie Irving because he plays so calm and patient like he’s not thinking about nothing but just hooping.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Kentrell: Jaden Foreman. He pushed me in the classroom and on the court to be great and be myself everyday.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Kentrell: Ms. Ritchie because she is so nice and cares about everyone like it’s her children.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Kentrell: My mom inspires me because she is so strong with everything she goes through and that makes me want to push harder and be great.
VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
Kentrell: My momma got me a ball and a rim when I was about three years old and I have loved basketball ever since.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Kentrell: Seeing the faces of the little kids when we walk in the room they just light up. I love that we have that impact on them.
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
Kentrell: When we won state 2022-23 season was the best memory ever.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Kentrell: Always be a leader and not a follower because you can’t lead from the back
